Welcome!

THANK YOU ALL!

Thanks to all organizers, sponsors, vendors, presenters and especially attendees for making the 4ICWDS a huge success! It truly takes a village and our community is strong and vibrant. We look forward to tackling the challenges we face in the coming years to continue to move CWD research forward and find practical plans for mitigation, management and remediation.

We uploaded the FINAL agenda with all abstracts here if you would like to download a copy.

For those interested in Dr. Bartz’s papers he discussed in his closing plenary talk, he shares the following bibliography :

About the Symposium

The 4th International Chronic Wasting Disease Symposium brings together specialists and interested parties from around the world to address and discuss the unique challenges associated with chronic wasting disease (CWD) and its impacts on wild and captive cervids. Since the last symposium held in Park City, Utah, in 2009, many new scientific discoveries and developments have occurred. This year’s theme “Overcoming Barriers to Control CWD” will focus on these discoveries and provide opportunities for discussion of practical and feasible CWD management and control strategies.

Who Should Attend

The 4th International Chronic Wasting Disease Symposium brings together scientific experts, wildlife managers, captive cervid producers, landowners, conservationists, students, and others who are interested in finding solutions and overcoming barriers to controlling this deadly cervid disease. All interested individuals and organizations are invited to attend.
